ENGAGING THE FIRM

There is no employee-employer relationship formed between AB Law and their Clients. Therefore, it must be understood that AB Law clients have no authority to control or to exercise the same over the actions of the Law Firm relative to the matter for which they were engaged.

AB Law has the primary duty to strategize and decide on the legal paths by which its clients’ concerns are to be pursued. Clients are therefore expected to disclose all relevant information that may have material impact to the present matter of engagement.

An attorney-client relationship is a fiduciary relationship grounded on trust and confidence between the parties. Once an attorney-client relationship is formed, it subsists the specific engagement for which the attorney – which includes the entire law office – was engaged. Therefore, the confidences between the parties remain and all information pertaining to the client and the latter’s engagement remains privileged and cannot be disclosed without consent.

DATA PRIVACY

In the initial stages and consultations, the cient may be required to disclose some personal information. These information include: (a) Full name; (b) Residential address; (c) Birthdate; (d) Civil Status; (e) Citizenship; (f) Contact details – mobile number and e-mail address; and (g) other relevant information on identity.
In the collection of these information, AB Law is bound to protect and secure data disclosed/provided by the clients and which data/information may only be used for the purpose of the representation which includes compliance to the obligations under legal engagement, proper and efficient communication, and transmittal of necessary documents.

AB Law, including all of their staff, are prohibited from using any of the information disclosed by the clients or any of their representatives, in the course of the engagement, to third parties and for any other reason which is beyond the scope of the engagement. All information collected from the clients are strictly limited for the purposes provided above and for other legitimate purpose as may be allowed by the client.
AB Law shall collect the said necessary data through means not limited to: filling in printed forms personally at the law office address; through e-mail sent by inquiry@adanbotorlaw.com; by completing the on-line form under “Send an Inquiry”; or via phone call through the AB Law’s official mobile number +63 917 139 7863.

AB Law reserves the right to amend or add to this privacy statement to comply with government and regulatory requirements, promote efficiency and for other relevant and legitimate purpose.
